Its funny..i remember when my accord needed a timing belt i was excited to try and do it on my own but my dad wouldn't let me haha. Still haven't done one, did my clutch instead. It's daunting but when you're done , you're gonna feel like the manliest manly man ever to cross the face of the earth.
I think you should do that. Just go read a shit ton, give yourself a little more time than you think you'll need for the work. Get all the tools you'll need, get started and stay positive. I feel like working on a big project is almost like painting, you gotta prep really good if its gonna work out so make sure you know whats going on before you jump in. Oh did i say stay positive? lol
