The CTS was a car that was added, best as I can tell, as a Cadillac advertisement. It has no place being a rookie car, but hey, free car. The closest thing to an E46 is the Mustang (I know that sounds kinda silly). :dunno: Try the solstice too. And Spec Racer Ford is fun but not easy to drive and has a ton of suspension set-up options that make or break the car.
The rookie races can be a crash-fest and while most people are trying and are reasonable, few have read or understand the rules. IF you want to take it seriously at all, read the rules, practice, qualify, focus on staying on track and stay away from other cars. Finish a few rookie races with an ok safety rating and you get your D license when that season ends. Then you have a lot more options.
Not sure what to tell you about the ratio changing at that high of a speed, but if you haven't got the wheel to calibrate to the whole range, that's probably related.
