i just bought a new tv. i saved a lot of money buy not buying 3d, smart, or 4k. that's the intelligent move right now.
Hah, I did the same thing a few months ago. Got a 50" LED for $Cheap because it's a "dumb" TV. I have no interest in Smart TVs as my AppleTV will let me stream nearly anything I want, with an easier interface (iOS + AirPlay is the best). And I don't watch enough TV (and I own zero gaming consoles) to give a shit about 4K or 3D or whatever the kids like these days.
