if you do have fiostv you can still use your router as the primary via cat5, and use the fios router behind it just to run the tv boxes but you lose on demand tv. I did this at my old house because I had the shitty silver/black fios router that chokes.
new house they gave me the new red/black fios router that is much better, so its fine to use it as the primary router and set your router behind it.
