Samsung is working on one. Will use the same NFC readers in the same way as Apple Pay.
Ive been able to pay (and anyone with android phone) with my phone using google wallet at CVS for a couple years. Carriers have had SIM based (more secure) payment systems for a while too. Apple is actually pretty late to this.
google wallet for online payments never really caught on, i think they may have even shut it down as a outside service
I want something that spans both in person AND online transactions, does so seamlessly, and abstracts away credit card numbers. Paypal and Amazon payments seem to be the closest.
