Thanks for clarifying that, I forgot to make a post to say that I think the laws are dumb not that Travis is dumb.
Those 2 laws are just another example of poorly written laws that are too subjective and just end up being another cudgel that overzealous law enforcement can use to beat on law-abiding citizens. I know the intent with the exhaust law was to cut down on obnoxiously loud aftermarket exhausts but instead it gives cops carte blanche to harass anyone who wants to modify their car.
I think a VA campaign to get the law reversed might work if we got some of the marque specific communities and NASA and SCCA involved. Don't know how many people have tried before but I'm sure plenty are not happy about this one.
