1. I think G. was referring to the fact it was dumb that the cop gave you a ticket for the numbers and exhaust, not that you had it.
2. The law says that a muffler can't make noise in excess of OEM equipment. This law is completely subjective and unjust. Travis, you should go to court and say so. If you DO go to court, especially if you show that you are a responsible driver (by showing your driving record) you may have your fines reduced. In addition, you could say that your exhaust is designed to be a performance stock replacement, and meets the most strict objective standards for noise in the country, and that you shouldn't be ticketed just because a police officer had nothing better to do that harass someone who has worked hard to make their car nice. And I'd say exactly that. What do you have to lose?
3. Life sucks. I know what it's like to get an assload of Bullshit tickets from a bored, jackass with a badge on a power trip. Not saying that all cops are assholes, my brother and Sister-in-law are both "cops". But alot, and I mean ALOT are assholes. And you can say we should be mature about it, and you can say "Oh, it's not true, they're not all dicks", but really, the exceptions only prove the rule.
