What always tore me up in hburg was how practically every driveway has little concrete culvert running across it.
Depends how soft your suspension is for how much you need to worry about rubbing on the highway. Back in the day on tires I had more of an issue fitting, it wasn't the sharp little bumps that would get me, it was the big, smooth dips before or after a bridge that I wouldn't see, fly through at 80, and all the weight of the car would shove the rear tires into the bumper. The yokos I had on the 17x9s were particularly bad, and that was back on race springs that had less travel.
Alternatively, my buddy had a slammed-ish and poked MKIV that was on brutally stiff suspension and it didn't rub. Rode like shit, but no rubbing.
