Devices will automatically hand off between the routers depending on which has the better signal strength and it wont even interrupt the connection in the process.
I originally did this but had problems where it wouldn't hand off even though one had a much lower signal than the other. I just created multiple SSID's and left it in my hands as to which I was joining.
ditto. seamless handoff is such a crapshoot, and when it doesn't work it's FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
