quit buying JDM bling lights, $$ air filters, and exhaust systems for an ancient 2.2 engine. spend it on driving events and have way more fun! seriously, subarus are made for this and i'd be very surprised if you break something unless you somehow fly off the course.
the only car i've ever seen at a rallyx take any substantial damage was a junkyard SE-R that was being driven back to back by 3 people and was never maintained...and even then it was just a tie rod (worn part should have been replaced) and a blown engine (straight up neglect, they never changed the oil and it had been knocking forever). both avoidable.
i know mufflers and lowering springs get street cred at the parking deck meetings
but ask anyone here who's been down that path and they will tell you seat time, and the adventures it brings, is far better.
