Was going to hold out a bit longer and keep watching Gunbroker, until I checked out one of the local shops here that is one of the highest volume gun dealers in the nation. They had SX-3 Black Shadows, 28" 3.5" chambered barrel in stock, which is exactly what I was looking for! And it was discounted pretty close to what I had seen on GB. Score!

I swung up there today hoping to negotiate it down a bit further with cash in my hand. Turns out they only had one in stock and it just came off of layaway since whoever ordered it didn't end up buying it. BNIB, but had a small scratch on the barrel that I used to gently beat them up a bit more on the price. They dropped the price another $15 (was already about $160 off of retail), there is an additional $75 manufacturers mail in rebate going on until the 15th, and one of their gunsmiths touched up the scratch for free while I waited. Can't even see it anymore! Nice. I scooped that used Mossy Oak bag from the bargain bin for $10 that fits it perfectly.







I can't wait to break this thing in! Might go to the skeet range next Wednesday with a LEO buddy of mine before I take it out and try to kill doves with it
