I wasn't trying to pick a fight. I was just saying that exit polls, indeed, polls in general are stupid. According to an exit poll I heard yesterday morning, in virginia a "majority" (yes, that's what they said) of Republicans were voting for Kerry. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Without knowing the circumstances and methods of a poll, a poll is in itself meaningless. I mean, if you look at the CNN exit poll for Virginia, they only interviewed a little over 1400 people....a piddling sample for such a massive undertaking. And for they national they only had 13,660 respondents.
