All buttoned up save for a muffler and some underbody panels, and had a wonderful shakedown run. Really missed driving the thing. In my quest to find a local place that would do an alignment on a car with a modified suspension, I ran into a NASA instructor who knew Maeng. Funny.
I need to get the rear realigned - last time I got one done, I dropped it off at a decent race shop and said "mostly street, with a handful of autoxes and maybe an HPDE or two a year." They gave me 0 toe up front and 1/8" total toe-OUT in the rear (if I'm reading the printout correctly). According to what I'm reading on e36/46 forums, it seems I should shoot more for a little toe-in in the rear, like 1/8" total. Bueller?
Hmmm, who was the alignment guy that knew me?
As far as your alignment, I'm not sure about E46 M3s but you will get a little bit more stability mid corner in the rear with the rear toed-in. If its toed-out, it should be a little looser. But it really all depends on what you're settings are at all four corners.
