I'm ok with the balljoint bonanza in the front end and minor electrical faults. I am not ok with replacing timing chain tensioner guides - book rate for the job is 40 hours, and then you end up with a bunch other "while the motor is out" jobs to do and you're getting a ride for $5-8k.
Supposedly, the later cars got updated parts, and most of the earlier cars that had the problem have been fixed by now.... but I dont know if there are any other expensive faults lurking in there. An under-stressed, naturally aspirated V8 should not have any problems, ever.
