Got the estimate today, doesn't look to be a way that I can get the valence done through insurance. I may be able to file a diminished value claim after the accident hits my carfax and try to go after USAA but that sounds like it is a total pain to deal with.
We looked at an XF rear bumper that was on the rack at the shop and they estimated about $66 to have it installed (mix of tabs and heat-melted welding of stock piece looks to make it a tougher un-install than previously thought) and I would have to pay to get it painted anyway. So I can get the car fixed 100% OEM and have the OEM '10 valence painted and then buy the Mina Gallery part, pay to have it painted and installed. That way I could have both pieces painted and could sell the aftermarket part when I sell the car. Which I could do at any time really, there's no benefit to getting the diffuser done now because I have to pay for it anyway. They would cover paint of the aftermarket part if I didn't want the OEM valence painted, which is dumb because I need that painted to sell the aftermarket piece.
Although I bring in 95% of it I have made a pretty good effort to stop spending household money on me since we got married so I will probably just keep the valence on the wish list for now.
