Do I have a K04? Or K03? I honestly don't even know, I just know it's an adorable teeny little thing tucked way under the exhaust manifold.
I still know a fraction about this car and turbo motors compared to what I know about the BMW. Last week at the shop I was poking around while he had it on the lift:
"What's that?"
"Secondary water pump."
"I have two, why?"
"Prolly to cool the turbo"
"It's water cooled? I thought it was oil cooled?"
"It is."
"....k"
But yeah I'm really looking forward to it. I just ordered an oil change kit and air filter, plus some Type 200 brake fluid cause my pedal is pretty squishy. I'll either knock out that stuff this weekend, or see if my shop will tolerate me getting under their feet while they tune it next week and take advantage of all their equipment. I'm also going to get some seafoam to steam clean the intake again.
