You're also Stage 2 no? So you're pushing even more power through the poor things.
And nah, it's going to have to stay the way it is. I'm still struggling to justify the cost of the tune to myself. I'll just have to let the DSC do it's thing or learn how much throttle certain gears can handle.
*If* I was going to start sliding down the slippery slope of really modding this GTI I would 1.) Have to sell the M3 to justify it to myself and 2.) I would most likely want to start with a more nicely optioned car like an MK6 Autobahn, then do the Stage 2 stuff, upgraded DV, light wheels and good tires, upgraded sways, etc.
The rule I set for myself when I got the GTI was it had to stay stock if I was keeping the BMW, because pouring money into modding/fixing up two cars is not sustainable for me. I think overall I've been very good, haven't thrown a tablet in it, haven't wasted money on the hatch popper kit or euro interior crap. This stupid tune is the first time my resolve has crumbled, I just can't pass up getting it for nearly half off.
