Cars that get you all hot and bothered

I'm trying to figure out what the heck kind of gullwing coupe that is that had side pipes and that front fascia....having no success. Any of you keyboar warriors able to shed some insight? Regardless that is a seriously baller way to transport a seriously awesome car.

Its also missing the rear wheel arch strakes.
I have a bit of a thing for the 300SL and Ive never seen one with that front end, and certainly not with those pipes so Im going to venture a guess that its some kind of modification.
the proportions look a bit off to my eyes too, so I wouldnt be surprised if it was some kind of rebodied other vehicle.
(or some uber-rare one-off MB)
