Racedeck tile design ideas

I looked into the epoxy (for like the 4th time) and after way too much reading I came to the same conclusion that I have in the past, it takes a lot of prep work and a lot of time to do it right, and even then there is still some risk that you can get lift due to environmental factors.

its not my first choice. i think unless you're welding or placing enormous loads on the floor, tiles/deck is the way to go. its just not in my budget and i need something on the floor. i hate the prep involved since that's a very time intensive thing and can totally ruin the end product.

tiles have their drawbacks too. unfortunately there isnt anythign out there that is perfect. CVT stains, racedeck isnt watertight, epoxy lifts, porcelian is $$$$ and the grout gets nasty etc etc.

i'm pretty sold on Rock Solid products, but the kicker is that they're only carried through Menard's which is like Lowe's of the midwest....I can't get them to sell to me direct. supposedly goes on in a day, pours straight out of a pouch so its not messy, and is very tough. i just don't see many reviews on it, unfortunately.

Oh the polyurea, yeah thats some cool stuff. Definitely sounds like it answers some of the weaknesses of epoxy. Biggest drawback I saw was that it starts to harden really really fast, so you have to wait for a cool dry day, add a little acetone, and work quickly. A few people have writeups on it on garage journal, like everything, both good and bad.

I wonder what it would cost to spray the whole garage with spray in bedliner :dunno:
