It really is a shame that it was such a low production run car, if they had made more of them and they were depreciating like a normal M car, I would probably be squirreling away my pennies to buy one some day. It sounds like the M2 won't be a limited production run, so maybe in ....~2020 I'll be able to afford one.
It really does suck that there are so few of them. The maintenance wouldn't even be as bad as most M cars because like Jake said, its basically a 135i with a M3 LSD and M3 suspension pieces. The motors are barely different physically. The only real difference is a tune.
It would have been such an awesome car if there were more than 1000 of them.
