Yeah I was pretty stoked when I read about those. They were new and relatively obscure when I was shopping for rings and I incorrectly assumed that being out of the grasp of the debeers cartel meant they would be reasonably priced. NOPENOPENOPE. They were MORE expensive, not just because they are 100% flawless in every way, not just because angelina jolie wears them "conflict free not a blood diamond no babies died mining this stone!!!!", but because the same reason Lee's brodawg member of the secret illuminati order of knights templar: diamond division didnt get him the deal of the century: prices are set by the market and the market says little chips of compressed carbon are worth crazy money.
Instead, I asked my to-be wife if she would be ok with a moissanite ring. She said ok its just a stone but of course I knew she still wanted a real rock.
So I bought her a $texas diamond anyway, because what Justin said is true. I was in my late 20s, making good money and already had bought a house. So I wanted her to be happy. debeers won and Im ok with that.
