What an interesting place for a speaker. Is that common in cars?

On the dash? Have you ever ridden in a car before?

I don't frequent cars, no. My truck doesn't have them there, nor do any of my family's trucks. I thought door panels were as far forward as they were.

Yeah. Don't feel bad. Even I thought it was a somewhat awkward placement. Usually what you see up there are tweeters.
