Miata as first car? Suggestions?

Hopefully I can average $300 a week for the 15 weeks we have off, I can make over 4000 over the summer. Of course, I'll have expenses, but I should be able to stash away some and work out my budget from there.

I don't even have the money yet, so I have time to think it over.

Going to join some of the nay-sayers, especially if you're making the above statement.

I made a similar mistake and stretched my means, even dumber, on just one car. I loved the car but, looking back, it was totally not worth it. If you don't have it now, and the only way you can see it happening is by everything rolling juuuusssttt right, then I would suggest you just pocket it. I promise you won't regret it later.
