Good rule of thumb for internet photos is to resize them to ~1000 pixels wide before uploading them. You don't need PS, there are free programs out there that'll resize an entire folder of images in a few seconds. 1000px is still large enough to look like full size images, but not so large that'll dick up the formatting of a forum that doesn't auto-resize like this one, and they'll be smaller than ~200kb each so they'll load quickly on all but the shittiest internet connections.
Fastest way to get them online is to run them through a batch resizer, then create an account on Imgur, click & drag all of the images into the browser window, and use the create album option to keep them grouped, then click upload. Afterwards, you can click on the images to bring up the BB code, so you can just copy and paste them directly into the forum post without having to add the [ url ] tags.
