Project 1997 ITR #280
I'm just gonna copy and paste this from another forum, hopefully it still is read-able..

Update 1 - 12.8.2013
----------------

Quick shot of the PDR work -- this is just one of the good size dents in the car that was removed... Lots of minor dings were taken out of the doors, etc -- pretty happy with it.

But with any good moment with this car comes the crapy part it seems -- Was taking the car back to storage and basically the battery was dead. Odd -- we jumped the car, and about 1/2 mile from my house it died on the side of the road.

Was able to get the battery from my Civic and pop it in and drive it back to my house where we ran some tests on the battery + alternator.. seems like I may have got a crappy alternator from VatoZone, still need to a dig a little deeper and make sure its not something else [wondering if the ELD may have something to do with it]

Update 2 - 3.1.2014
---------------
Welp.... I'll keep this short. Been having alternator problems (not charging the battery when on). Come to find out Canadian 97R harness I picked up doesn't have ELD wiring + ALTC, which no Canadian cars actually have.

Bought a junk GSR cabin harness to murder for ELD wiring... Swapped that over today to the R, and the alternator still doesn't work.

Didn't realize the ALTC was missing till after this, so I went back to depin that form the GSR harness but it's beer:30 so maybe I'll see if that works tomorrow.

If not, one step closer to selling this POS.

Update 3 - 3.2.2014
------------

Welp, went at it again in the garage today. This time I brought some spare alt. brackets to test out versus the powdercoated ones I have on there.

And.....

So yeah... be sure if you paint/powdercoat your alt brackets that you are sure to leave bare metal for the contact points on the alt.

Good learning experience overall... but gat damn I'm glad that's over with. Onto the next problem.
