Okay..wait..no hold up. I'm at work right now so i can't double check but i'm 97% sure my brake lights do the opposite...
My inner squares light up when pressing the brake and the outer ones are always running... i'm pretty sure thats what i saw the other night.
Also, any inspector won't really care if the dash light is on, so long as the actual brake light works right? That's all really care about, i can spend all semester trying to get the dash light off...
