With my only experience being from a full blown race postured sport bike, I can say it absolutely sucks for any highway or long trips(other than like long mountain trips with nothing but curves). I have often thought about moving to a more relaxed postured bike but with that said, I don't think it would be a goldwing.
My s2000 was way less than $25k and I think ID rather have that over a gold wing. I would want something with comfortable posture, but still small enough to throw around (yea I know gw can be thrown around by good riders) but I wouldn't want anything so big And closed off. Like I would like an attachable but easily removable windscreen so I could have the option for long trips but why have a motorcycle that is so closed off around you...And so expensive. My s2000 has AbS, AC, and airbags for a lot less money.
