Project: 1995 Miata

Just placed the "big order" from Mazda. $488 later (yes, you BMW-freaks like DJ will claim this is cheap for what I got but it's still a big order) I got all of this:

• Timing Belt/Water Pump kit (Includes: Timing Belt, Valve Cover Gasket, 2 Cam Seals, Front Crank Seal, Tension Spring, Tensioner Pulley, Idler Pulley, Water Pump, 2 OEM Water Pump Gaskets, Water Pipe O-Ring, Thermostat Housing O-Ring to Block, Alternator Belt, and Power Steering / Air Conditioner Belts)
  
  
• Clutch kit (Includes: Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Release Bearing, Pilot Bearing, and Alignment Tool)
  
  
• Front/rear oil pan gaskets
  
• Input/output shaft seals for the trans
  
• Rear main seal
  
• Flywheel bolts
  
• Motor mounts

Going to get the motor up on the stand this week and start turning some wrenches. I have the new thrust bearing, so I can drop the oil pan and replace that. Then it's a waiting game for the new parts. About half of this can be done to the new motor before the old one comes out of the car. I will need to get the old motor out so I can take the flywheel to get re-surfaced.

I really, really don't want to know how much I've dropped into this car since buying it in 2008... just glad the wheels are a'turning to have her running right again!!
