Why don't you just get an exhaust shield?

To stick on the bottom of the bumper? I think he's talking about the tip not the can.

Does it look a little off center or is it just me? I fixed my bent tips by sticking a jack handle in them and very carefully rearranging them, might come in handy if you don't have someone extend it.
