Haha sorry, Dave. Masking is the top paper layer of a sticker. You know when you peel the back off, stick it on the surface, then pull off the top layer? The top is the masking paper so the sticker sticks to it allowing you to place the sticker where you want, get the bubbles out, then pull the paper off. Weeding is removing all the small pieces. When the plotter cuts little object, it sometimes doesn't cut deep enough. When you go to pull the excess vinyl off, little things (like the inside of the letters in logos) stay behind. Weeding is simply going through the sticker once you place it on the car and pulling the little extra bits off with the corner of a razor blade. It's easy, just time consuming.
