Scramjet for the win. Who needs stealth when you can go faster than anything on this earth other than the light hitting it?
I'm all for continued drone technology so we can be overrun by Skynet someday. No but seriously, planes without people makes a lot more sense. I envision in the future that the last thing an Allah-fearing militant is going to see before being sent into his afterwordly throng of demon "virgin brides" is a USAF drone rocketing over the mountain, popping legs and arms out of its fuselage and spewing liquid napalm through the opening of his cave dwelling.
