I just picked up a brand new Escape rental in Birmingham and it really impresses me. Most of the new Fords are seriously making my head turn in that direction. The Ecoboost in that thing is really smooth and surprisingly powerful...i mean the thing moves out for a small SUV. I think it looks a lot better than the last one and it has all of the great Sync / touch screen / etc. on the inside. Mine is I think mostly loaded with leather and it's pretty comfortable. Only big complaint is the sound system...it is seriously woeful. But great throttle response, great power delivery and pull to redline and the thing actually has a really tight steering rack and likes to turn in on the offramps. Not a bad handling / accelerating SUV!
