You have conflicting interests IMO, spending money to mod it won't make it worth more and will move you further away from profiting on it.
If you really do want the best of both world's I'd avoid taking a saw to anything (except maybe the stock plate bracket) and only do bolt ons, so you can return it to stock and sell the bike and your parts separately.
