Ahhh I remember that car show, I didn't know you helped organize that Godspeed, *holds out hand for handshake* well done sir.

The schedule of events will have every normal event that has been consistently in the books from year to year (i.e. autocrosses, karting etc), as well a few more as soon as the officers and I get together to decide on which events to hold.

Possibilities are:

-Detailing day at Miracle Wash with BBQ and big dan the man putting on tutorials (I'm sure they'd be willing to help plan this, as we'll be bringing quite a few people to their facility)

-More organized wrench days (which will be planned in advance instead of a forum-post day of)

-33W DRIVES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...where were all those this semester Gents??

-Camping/ Paintball trips (not all the events MUST include cars, sometimes it's good just to get the group together)

....these are just a few I can think of off the top of my head, I'm currently at the library so the officers and I can give this MUCH more thought if elected.

In terms of getting the message out...

The forum isn't enough. There are plenty of members (like I used to be) that just don't navigate the forums enough to recognize what can be going on in the near future. The email system is a great source but often gets clumped into the "JMU emails to ignore" category, and are overlooked. I think it would be a good idea to have a text-messaging system that is used on a more frequent basis that can let members know of events...because they're guaranteed to read it. This isn't to say that the forum and email notification system won't be used, because they most certainly will, they just have to be supplemented with another method.
