This is a question I'd like to see a response for as well. I know you, and I remember how involved you were way back. I can't even count all the autocrosses we did together and I know you've been at the track plenty, maybe even more than me. Your major makes my brain hurt just thinking about it, so I can't blame you for having to step back from the club this year. The fact that you've spent the free time you do have patching an old bike back together tells me the passion is still in there.
However, what specific tasks do you imagine will make up this role. To me, VP is a supporting role. You're the second in line, you're the check, the failsafe, the quality assurance. You support the president, and together the group of officers forms a steel trap of excellent planning and management, keeping one eye on the big picture and year long goals, and the other on the tiny little details to make sure everyone knows what they need to know, when they need to know it, and everything runs without a hitch.
