not to continue beating an already dead and now mauled horse, but yeah...i'm a good driver, and i take alot of pride in my car-control skills, which frankly aren't even that amazing or anything...
about a year ago i thought i had street skills. wanted to "scare" myself. put car in ditch. never-ending feeling of stupidity and self-lament followed.
what i can tell you for sure is that an autocross will open your eyes (like it did for me), and after a few of those try a track event. then you will realize just how over-rated straight line speed is and how important the driver can be.
