ok so no PERSONAL experience, other than experience with baggage and experience with UPS as well as shipping odd car parts and ammo. *I* would ship them. In a gun sock or soft case, nice and tight with foam, cardbord scraps, bubble wrap, whatever, in one of these babys

Insure them, and it's really really unlikely you'll have any problems.
But everyone has a story about lost baggage.
Ok let's be honest. I would hide them in something and make the movers unknowingly take them :lol:
