That is pretty much the conclusion I came to DJ. The trailer I am towing should not weigh more then 7,000lbs so I am not to worried about how it will handle it. I have electric brakes so I think I can get her stopped. The only thing is the weight of the diesel in the front helps with steering. The gooseneck should help with that but it remains to be seen. I do know i will have less front end wear with the lighter gas engine.
