Most of the historic covered bridges have been washed away too.
That's terrible. I hope you guys hear from the family soon.
We had the boys sleep in our room farther away from the line of tall oaks next to the house. Hurricane Ivan brought a tornado to our neighborhood several years ago so it was a restless night listening to the wind waiting for a tree to crash in on the house. Lost power for about 45 minutes and that was it.
