Ford pulling out of F1 and WRC

Posh. The S1 (with its direct shift gearbox...ring a bell?) had barely been able to get the kinks worked out of it before group B was cancelled.

unfortunately while audi was working out the kinks, puegot was rocking their (and everyone elses) domes with the smaller, lighter mid engined T16. i've read somewhere that audi was preparing to unleash nearly 1000 horsepower from the S1, but that was prematurely ended when group b did. i cant imagine 1000 horsepower on those stages.
