removing turbos?! they are retarded. its just going to turn into a war of finding more expensive materials and costly use of resources to try to pull more power out of an NA motor, which is naturally not as easy as FI. the key to this cost reduction equation isn't using pussy engines, its a matter of simplifying the electronics.
just look at subaru and mitsu. can you imagine the WRX or EVO being cult objects with a 2.0 litre NA engine?
