I decided to go with the Beretta. It is actually the M9 version (almost identical). I know what you mean about the DA trigger pull. It is stiff. I don't plan on really using the gun in DA mode (I think). I don't yet feel comfortable enough to leave the gun with a round in the chamber. I read it can be fixed with a new spring, and that it gets better over time. They said the spring is pretty stiff right out of the box. For now I'm just going to shoot it a bunch, and see what what I learn. In the end I got a really good price on it.
