I used one example that I happened to have on hand. Of course a poly pistol will be cheaper than steel (unless it's made by H und K) and I still don't think 495 is all that good of a price for a USED auto, sig or not, especially when you have no idea of the history, no accessories, maybe no factory support. OTOH, I wouldn't buy a NEW Sig either, not until they get their QC in order. Mikey's just looking for something he's familiar with, which I can get behind, I just think there are better deals out there than a used .40 Sig for 500 bucks. I just didn't want mikey to jump on that particular pistola just because it was "Hey! Cheap Sig!" That's all.
I DO kind of wish the M&P had a hammer, but that's just me being a bit of a luddite. A hammer isn't necessarily isn't really better or worse, just different. Still makes the bullet go bang every time, and polymer framed, striker fired guns have certainly proved their worth.
If I had my druthers, Julie and I would both carry P30's, and so would everyone else. But I'm not made of money. :-p Presumably, neither is Mikey. I just want him to spend his money wisely.
