Mustang trapped higher in the 1/4 mile; which you would expect from a muscle car...so in that race it won.
The BMW has so many intangibles that are hard to measure objectively, so I guess these performance tests are the only objective way to compare.
If my car were faster than either of these cars, there is no way I would take mine over either of these if given the choice. Track performace is not everything...in fact for street cars it's just a small part of the equation.
