Well as Chris said, 99% of insurance companies will cover you for accidents during a HPDE session (course they'll prolly drop you afterwards). They set up the HPDE sessions so that it doesn't specifically negate insurance policies. With us having instructors in the car with you, classroom instruction, and a lack of timing device on school cars it's nothing more than advanced drivers ed, and you should be covered. I know there's a few racers out there that have race insurance, I'm pretty sure that you could get something similar for school groups.
