Something tells me a fuel pump wouldn't trip a CEL. Joey and I looked at an old BMW 525 that has the little message center under the gauges. It would try to turn over but not start - thus, fuel pump (we think) - and the dash cluster just chimed and said "Trans Program." Arghh. Maybe something either ignition-switch related or fuel pump...
