Ever since we had the bike it always had an issue with randomly turning off. This generally happened when I pulled the clutch in rolling up to a stopsign/stop light. I figured it was just idling too low. The bike has a throttle adjuster on the left handle which I had to keep adjusting to keep the bike from shutting down every time I stopped. Apparently this is a common problem for the '04 749s so we took it to the Ducati guys in Richmond for them to fix it. They claimed they fixed the problem, but it was not fixed, if anything the problem kept getting worse. Over the course of 4 years or so we took it back to the same guys and a few different places about 5 times to fix this issue and none of them could fix it, even though they claimed to have fixed it

It gets rather annoying having to constantly watch your throttle every time you pull the clutch in. Another issue that came up a few times was the bike did not turn off some times, ironic huh. Pull it into the garage, flip the kill switch take out the key and the bike is still huffin' along. Had to pop the clutch and let the bike die before it'd shut off. Took it to the fixer uppers and they claimed they fixed it but they did not.

Also, the LCD screen with the speedometer, engine temp. etc... broke when we were changing out a dead headlamp a few weeks ago due to my dad's careless hands.

So all in all, the bike still runs great when it's on and running. Either these guys we took it to to fix the bike straight up suck at their jobs, lied to us, or the bike is just finicky as hell, I don't know how to fix it and I'd rather not deal with it if I don't have to. Don't have a price yet haha, we're trying to see if there's anything we can do to fix it up a bit before we sell it. I can let you know once we start thinking price though.
