b18b make for very good turbo engines, that was the original engine we had in mind for the crx, but decided to keep the engine mounts and transmission the same since the clutch was still good. I now see why you would want a VTEC d16z6/z8, theyre rated 130hp which yea is only 10 less hahaha and since you have to go against other swapped hondas you most likely are battling with 140hp against some frankensteins, b20 block, b16 head which make some impressive numbers hehe, or even worse against an h23a1 which is like 210hp. I definitely feel your pain there, but im not quite sure how all the categories work and stuff since i havent really looked into official racing, mostly just street racing :oops: and we live out in the country kinda so we have road races on the curvy country roads. But then again, road racing definitely isnt about just power, more about grip and braking, my tiny 1.6L DOHC has beat 3.2TL acuras in road races just cause it grips like a booger and slows faster than a post-war economy . I'm kind of interested in autocrossing i just need a lot more information, is there a website i can check out that would be beneficial to the autoX around here? thanks.
