well we rebuilt the crank on one and who knows maybe we didnt do something right but we were running em pretty hard, the first was a si crx d16 no vtec and we had it around 7k rpm all the time, the newer d16z6 we got it really cheap and pulled the oil pan off and saw that there was no bearing left on the crank for the 4th cylinders con rod. Anyways, i've had d16s apart before and know whats up with them so a d16 build would definitely be up my alley, im just sayin SOHC is no good Smile and a lot of the d16z6 civics/del sol si's ive driven didnt feel like vtec kicked in, mighta been a fluke though who knows, atleast it definitely wasnt noticeable LOL. But if we built a d16 right, we could make a fairly nasty NA engine or an even better turbo engine. My friend with the crx makes 215whp with his d16z6 turbo'd. Stock internals you can boost up to like 11-12 psi no problem cause the compression isnt too high, just gotta put a thicker head gasket to bring the comp ratio down a bit. If they're regular d16 with no vtec i wouldn't bother messin with it though, those engines are just lackadaisical. A crx is definitely the only home for one, anything else is too damn heavy. Anywho, id have space to store the engine if i wasnt already storing a 4age 20v in my basement  also michael what b series are you running, i thought it was a GSR engine? or maybe i just assumed it was, i guess when i hear of people swapping a b18 into their hatchback i automatically assume they went GSR, one of my other friends has a GSR in his crx and ran a 12.3 at nopi nationals with full interior, id definitely stick with the GSR engine especially since you got all the b-series mounts and stuff, converting back to d-series would kinda be a pain, unless of course you're paying someone to do it for you :?
