That's exactly it Scotty. I'm thinking it will drain out as well just by gravity once you drain the car. You're also right about the routing of it... good luck spinning those lines around 180* when they're that short. Plus, this is how the product is shown in the "instructions" lol. All in Japanese, but I'm sure it said something about all the oil getting out in time. Hopefully. The main reason I got it was to mount the oil pressure gauge sensor while still maintaining my stock sensor, so it doesn't throw codes on me.
